Which Smart TVs can run IPTV
Smart TVs fall into three families, and each takes a slightly different route:

What you need before you start
Three things, and none of them are exotic:
- Your subscription details — either an Xtream Codes login (username, password, server URL) or an M3U link.
- A stable connection. Around 15 Mbps is comfortable for HD and 25 Mbps or more for 4K. Stability matters more than headline speed.
- Ten quiet minutes. Entering a long server URL with a TV remote is the slowest part of the whole job.
If your television sits far from the router, an Ethernet cable or a powerline adapter will do more for playback than any setting inside the app.

Getting a good picture on a large screen
A 55-inch screen is far less forgiving than a phone, so a few things are worth doing once:
- Use a wired connection if the television is anywhere near the router.
- Let the EPG finish loading the first time before you start browsing — it is a large download and it only happens once.
- Prefer the HD or 4K version of a channel where both are listed.
- Close other apps in the background; Smart TV hardware is modest compared with a phone.
Streams are delivered in HD, and in 4K where the original broadcast is 4K and your television and connection can carry it. No service can upgrade a channel beyond the quality it is broadcast at.
